Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning for Qualifications (APELQ) allows you to convert our certification and relevant university-level knowledge, skills, and experience into credits when getting your degrees.

London Academy of Sciences short courses are recognized and accredited by University Partners. Our Certified could be credit transferred automatically when studying for Bachelor, Master, or Doctoral Degrees at the University Partners.

Transfer credits to University Partners Degree Programs

The London Academy of Sciences’s Short Courses program is not only recognized in the labor market, with wide career opportunities, but also earns credits when participating in University Partners at the same level.

As a program recognized by University Partners, through the APELQ process, all the accumulated certifications of the Short courses program can be converted into credits and do not have to be re-learned when participating in Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programs from University Partners.

Programs could transfer credits:

As a program recognized by University Partners, through the APELQ process, all the accumulated certifications of the Short courses program can be converted into credits and do not have to be re-learned when participating in Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programs from University Partners. Academic Programs of University Partners could transfer credits from the London Academy of Sciences’ short courses:

  • LAS Level 4 and 5 short courses could transfer credits to Diploma’s Programs.
  • LAS Level 6 short courses could transfer credits to Bachelor’s Programs.
  • LAS Level 7 short courses could transfer credits to Master’s Programs.
  • LAS Level 8 short courses could transfer credits to Doctoral Programs.

Transfer Credits FAQs

  • University Partners only accepts credit transfers for programs accredited by University Partners. All the London Academy of Sciences short-courses programs are accredited and could immediately transfer credits into University Partners programs.
  • After completing the short courses from LAS, students receive a set of confirmation documents from University Partners. They must present these documents along with the assignments when performing the credit transfer procedure with University Partners.
  • Students can only transfer credits to the University Partners program at the same level and the same major.
    In case there is no corresponding program to convert credits, students will still be entitled to a fee waiver policy accordingly to the current policy.
  • Credit transfer policy only applies to LAS certificates within 2 years from the date of graduation from LAS’ short courses program.
  • Credit transfer does not mean that the University Partners program will be shortened. Students still have to spend enough time studying and researching corresponding to the total time to complete the program. The time will be shortened only for APEL.Q leads to University Partners academic degrees.

Because University Partners has recognized the Short courses program of the London Academy of Sciences. All LAS programs comply with University Partners rigorous accreditation standards.

Each LAS shortcourses program has a corresponding number of credits indicated. Students can convert 100% of their credits if they meet the general credit transfer policy of University Partners.

University Partners applies a training system compatible with the European Qualification Framework (EQF). EQF is widely adopted in Europe and is seen as a tool for degrees from many different education systems to be recognized and transferred.

All the London Academy of Sciences certifications show the corresponding Level. These Levels can be converted to a University Partners program corresponding to:

  • LAS Level 4 and 5 short courses could transfer credits to Diploma’s Programs.
  • LAS Level 6 short courses could transfer credits to Bachelor’s Programs.
  • LAS Level 7 short courses could transfer credits to Master’s Programs.
  • LAS Level 8 short courses could transfer credits to Doctoral Programs.

Once you have confirmed your credit transfer with University Partners, you do not need to repeat the course according to the the number of credits that have been converted.

You are entitled to a reduced tuition fee according to the tuition fee transfer policy. Normally, you will receive 100% of your paid tuition fees for LAS short courses.
You need to provide a complete LAS certification after graduation to enjoy this policy.

Immediately after graduating from the LAS short courses, you can convert your credits and tuition fees to the University Partners program.

You can convert credits and tuition fees from the LAS short coures program up to 2 years after graduation.
